KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 ?A reduction in the import duty of heavy machinery used in the construction industry will help to ease burdens amid the current economic downturn, the Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM) said today.

The association said an import duty reduction would also allow local suppliers to be more competitive in terms of pricing and provide consumers with more options.
